We designed the poster for “The Egg and the Thieving Pie” around the tense exchange between two characters. Their positions across the table became the starting point for the composition.
We made the title part of the scene, stacking the words above the table in tall, narrow letters. The lettering fills the space between the characters, bringing the film’s name into the centre of their exchange.
We kept the surroundings dark, concentrating the light on the faces, hands and tabletop. The bright title follows the same lighting mood, while subtle texture connects the typography to the image.
